AT&T is activating a new mobile Internet cell site in Skokie, the wireless company announced Monday. The new cell site will improve coverage for residents near the intersection of Dempster Street and East Prairie Road.
A spokeswoman for the company said the site was built on top of a building and "will not be an eyesore."
"It’s been added to an existing building right near the intersection of Dempster Street and East Prarie Road," said Erin McGrath, a spokeswoman for AT&T. "The average person would never know that it’s there."
