Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Bloggers Wanted: Politics

We're currently looking for someone to write in our Local Voices section about anything political.

Skokie has some big elections - from school board to village trustee - this April 9.

We’re currently seeking a writer to join our Local Voices section and write about anything politics. With upcoming local elections already gaining steam, this is a great chance to have your voice heard. The posts can be about a politician that does well for the community or you can offer tales of caution. You can even dissect an upcoming election. You get to choose.

There are no requirements on how many items you need to post or restrictions on what you can write about. Patch is looking for someone thoughtful on these topics.

This isn't a paid position, but people will read your work and your blog will be featured on Skokie Patch's homepage. There's also a chance that your blog will get picked up by Huffington Post Chicago from time to time.

If you're interested, you can apply by clicking this link.

I am not sure what exactly a "blogger" is, but if this fine periodical, The Skokie Patch, needs a man with well over one-hundred years of experience, as well as a fellow who will not be befuddled by the various shenanigans, rambunctiousness, tomfoolery, bamboozlement, and general horseplay that a few around here partake in, I would be honored to "dissect an upcoming election" or "offer tales of caution."

Mr. Slefo, editor-in-chief of this noble journal, I have tossed my hat into the ring. If you will have me, I will offer up my decades of wisdom to these readerly whippersnappers of yours!
