Chicago Police Arrest Two in Skokie on Narcotic Offenses
Chicago police arrested two individuals in the 4800 block of Greenleaf Street for narcotic offenses on Feb. 14. Skokie Patch reported that three days prior, several shots were fired at an apartment unit on the same street.
A helicopter and more than half-a-dozen Chicago police officers executed a warrant arrest in the 4800 block of Greenleaf Street in Skokie on Feb. 14 around 8 p.m. Two individuals were arrested for narcotic offenses which originated out of Chicago, police said.
The arrests came after several shots were fired at an apartment window on the same block on Feb. 11 around 2:17 a.m. Multiple people were inside the unit at the time of the shooting, according to the police report. One of the residents told officers that her son received threatening text messages earlier that day. That person is believed to be the offender's target and left prior to police arrival because he had several warrants out for his arrest, police said.
"S*** about to get real ugly," one of the text messages said, according to the report.
It is unclear at this time if the target is one of the individuals arrested by Chicago police on Feb. 14. If new details come in, Skokie Patch will update.
