Crash Survivor, 46, Crowned Mrs. International in Skokie

The 27th annual Mrs. International Pageant was held in Skokie on July 21. This year, Sarah Bazey of Minnesota took home the first place prize.

Sarah Bazey, 46, of Minnesota was crowned Mrs. International 2012 Saturday, July 21 at the 27thAnnual Mrs. International Pageant held at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. The two-hour event featured nearly 60 contestants from around the world competing in three categories, including interview, fitness wear and evening gown.  Bazey’s husband, Joseph, crowned her Mrs. International before a sold-out audience.  

A helicopter crash survivor and burn victim, Bazey will spend her year as Mrs. International promoting her platform of burn awareness and education through the Phoenix Society.
