The Distict 69 community will come together June 3 to host a memorial bike ride for Carter Vo, nine- year-old Madison School student who was killed in an accident.

"Carter loved to ride his bike after school. This event is meant to be healing for community members, children, and first responders," according to a the press release."We are gathering to celebrate his life and to get Skokie children back on their bikes."

Attendees are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Madison School playground. The bike ride will begin promptly at 10 a.m., with Skokie Police and Skokie Fire escorting participants to Oakton Park.
