Founder of CDW graduated from Niles North

Former Niles North alum Michael Krasny made Forbes' "Richest People in America" list again in 2011.

Krasny is founder and chief executive officer of the CDW Corporation, which mainly sells computers and computer related products.

Krasny first started selling computers in 1982, when he lost his job and placed an ad in the Chicago Tribune to sell his computer. So many people responded, that Krasny began to buy and sell computers as a way to earn cash.

A year later, he founded CDW and would take the company public 10 years later. According to Forbes, his first caller from 1982 is still a customer.

Forbes has named the richest man in the world and it isn’t Bill Gates, again.

Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim has furthered his lead as the richest man in the world, according to Forbes magazine. His estimated fortune is about $74 billion, well above Gate’s $56 billion.

Slim gained most of his earning last year and has been criticized of creating a monopolistic empire in the telecommunication sector.
