Flowerpot gets its butt kicked
A flowerpot was knocked over in the 4500 block of Cleveland Avenue on June 12. The owner of said item estimated the damage at around $50, the report said.
Stolen purse
A woman reported her purse stolen while she was shopping at Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall on June 16.
Slashed tires
A taxi cab had its tires slashed as it sat parked in the 9400 block of Kenton Avenue on June 16.
Business vandalism
A business in the 4700 block of Oakton Street had its front glass door smashed by an unknown person. The incident was reported on June 18.
Stolen schoolbooks
Two schoolbooks with a combined value of $800 were reported stolen from a building in the 8300 block of Niles Center Road on June 18.
Man assaults officer
A 32-year-old man punched an officer in the face after they tried to stop him from walking into oncoming traffic near Dempster Street and McCormick Boulevard on June 16. The alleged suspect had a mental condition and was transported to Skokie Hospital for evaluation, the report said. No charges were filed.
