Friday Blotter: Oil Pan Stolen

Oil pan stolen
A man reported his oil pan stolen from underneath his parked vehicle in the 9200 block of Gross Point Road on Aug. 21. The part is valued at around $400, the report said.
Stolen bike
A bike valued at around $25 was reported stolen from the 4900 block of Crain Street on Aug. 27.
Stolen auto
A car parked in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road was reported stolen on Aug. 27. According to the report, the owner believes his friend took his vehicle.
Theft at Macy’s
Iurii Sergiovych Chernyshuk, 32, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on Aug. 27. Chernyshuk allegedly selected $500 of merchandise from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall and attempted to leave without paying.
Theft from auto
A car parked in the 7700 block of Laramie Avenue was reported burglarized on Aug. 29. According to the report, a $200 cell phone and loose change were missing from the vehicle.
Stolen auto
A car dealership in the 7600 block of Skokie Boulevard reported a $58,000 vehicle stolen on Aug. 28.
