Friday Botter: Land Rover Stolen

Retail theft
Chimaya Barnett, of Hoffman Estates, was charged with retail theft on Aug. 10. According to the report, Barnett allegedly selected a $60 item from Hollister in Old Orchard Mall and attempted to leave the store without paying. His court date is Sept. 5.
Bush damage
A neighbor is alleged to have damaged a woman’s bushes in the 5300 block of Grove Street on Aug. 11.
Land Rover lifted
Police responded to a stolen auto complaint in the 8900 block of Laramie Avenue on Aug. 11. According to the report, a 2003 Land Rover was reported stolen.
Stolen grill
Police responded to a theft complaint in the 7000 block of Lorel on Aug. 11. According to the report, a charcoal grill was reported stolen.
Egging
Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 8300 block of Hamlin Avenue on Aug. 10. According to the report, a woman’s home was egged for the second in a week.
