Monday Blotter: Battery at Restaurant

Stolen bike

Police were dispatched to the 5200 block of Grove Street regarding a stolen bike on June 29. According to the report, the bike was valued at around $360.

Stolen plate

A man reported that someone stole his front license plate while his car sat parked in the 8000 block of Floral Avenue on June 28.

Graffiti

Officers located graffiti written with a black permanent marker in the 7600 block of Lavergne Avenue on June 29.

Stolen bike

A bike was stolen as it sat unattended in the 8600 block of Avers Avenue on June 29.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 9100 block of Lamon Avenue was reported burglarized on June 29. According to the report, about $50 in cash and a checkbook were taken.

Battery

William Handler, 42, of the 8300 block of Trumbull Avenue, was charged with battery on June 30. According to the report, Handler allegedly pushed his girlfriend to the ground while the two were at a restaurant in the 8000 block of Lincoln Avenue.
