Monday Blotter: Dine-and-Ditch

Stolen iPod

A woman reported that someone stole her iPod from her home in the 9000 block of Skokie Boulevard on June 23.

Slashed tires

A car parked in the 8200 block of Keating Avenue had three of its tires slashed by an unknown person on June 23.

Dine and ditch

Police responded to a theft at Johnny Rockets in Old Orchard Mall on June 23. According to the report, four men ordered food and then fled the store without paying. The total for the bill was $58, the report said.

Theft at Double Tree

Police responded to a theft at the Double Tree Hotel, 9599 Skokie Blvd., on June 23. According to the report, a woman reported that someone stole her Apple MacBook from the lobby area of the hotel.

High-end bike stolen

A bike valued at around $2,500 was reported stolen from the storage area of a condominium on June 23.

Burnt screen door

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 4300 block of Lee Street on June 20. According to the report, an unknown person burnt a two-inch hole through a screen door.
