Monday Blotter: Identity Theft, Resident Bust

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

 

Retail theft

Rudolf Blokes, 64, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on July 28. Blokes allegedly selected about $20 of merchandise from Marshall’s in the 9400 block of Skokie Boulevard and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Vehicle vandalism

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 5100 block of Dempster Street on July 22. According to the report, a 2012 sedan had its driver’s side window smashed out.

Lost wallet

A man reported his wallet stolen after working out at the Weber Center, 9300 Weber Park Way, on July 30. The man said there was about $140 in cash and several credit cards inside the wallet.

Identity theft

A woman came into the police station to report an identity theft on July 30. According to the report, the woman encountered an unauthorized withdrawal of $1,080 and $4,300 from her bank account.  

Garage burglary

A garage in the 5200 block of Howard Street was reported burglarized on July 31. According to the report, a bicycle valued at $60 was reported stolen.

Resident busts teens

Police arrested three juveniles after they allegedly ransacked and stole a GPS device out of a parked vehicle in the 4800 block of Wright Terrace on July 31. The owner of the vehicle caught the alleged culprits in the act and notified police.
