Monday Blotter: More Wallets Stolen

Wallet snatched
A woman shopping at Best Buy in Skokie realized her wallet was stolen after she approached the checkout line on Nov. 23. According to the report, the victim’s wallet was sticking out of her purse while shopping. She soon realized that more than $800 was charged on her credit card at a nearby K-Mart.
Stolen auto
A car parked in the 7700 block of Niles Center Road was reported stolen on Nov. 25. According to the report, the victim was out of the country for three months when the alleged theft occurred.
Stolen wallet
A woman dinning at Bonefish Grill, 9310 Skokie Blvd., reported her wallet stolen on Nov. 25. According to the report, the victim left her purse hanging on the back of her chair.
DUI
Syed Akbar, 23, of the 9300 block of Lawler Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Nov. 26. Akbar was stopped in the 4400 block of Dempster Street around 3:30 a.m. for a traffic violation. Akbar allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .088.
