Niles Township Pantry Calls For More Holiday Volunteers

Hanukkah decorations and wrapping supplies are also needed.

With Christmas and Hanukkah around the corner, the Niles Township Food Pantry is calling for additional volunteers to help with its holiday events. The request comes on the heels of a busy November for the pantry.

According to an e-blast sent by director Cynthia Carranza, volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday to bag produce, compile holiday bags, and run stations for the pantry's distribution event. Volunteers can come by from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and can call Carranza to coordinate times for Saturday, as well as Sunday.

Can't volunteer your time, but are still interested in helping out?

In addition to toys, the pantry is in seeking donations of Hanukkah decorations, as well as wrapping paper, tape, labels and bows.

Contact Carranza at 847-983-0073 for more information.
