Prostitution Sting in Skokie Closes Massage Parlors

Police acted on several complaints that sex acts were being performed for cash at two area massage parlors.

There were no happy endings for two area massage parlors after a Skokie police investigation busted two therapists for alleged prostitution last week.

Members of the Skokie Police Tactical Mission Team set up a sting at Mystic Massage, 8800 Lockwood Ave., and June Spa, 4849 Dempster St., after receiving complaints that the establishments were performing sex acts for cash.

In the end, police charged Maryana Kolos, 43, an employee at Mystic Massage, as well as Jessica Her, 50, an employee at June Spa, for prostitution.

In both instances, police said an undercover officer set up an appointment for a half-hour massage. And in both instances police said each therapist offered to perform what they called “manual stimulation” for $60, according to the report.

Each suspect offered to perform the sex act after the half-hour massage was complete, police said. Police only made the arrest after they said cash was exchanged for a sexual favor, according to the report.

Both parlors are currently closed due to the investigation and both had their massage licenses revoked, according to the report.

Her and Kolos will appear in court on Dec. 9 to face charges of prostitution.
