Readers' Choice 2012: Who Has the Best Family Friendly Restaurant?
While Patch has had Readers' Choice contests in the past, this is the ultimate one, including businesses from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. The following were all nominated by you, the reader.
There are a lot of great places to eat around town, but not all are family friendly. Sometimes, it's not the best idea to bring the newborn baby to that fine dining restaurant.
So, we want to know: Who has the best family friendly restaurant in town?
That being said, Patch is running the ultimate Readers’ Choice yet. While we’ve done similar contests in the past, this one includes business from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. Our 2012 winner will even receive an award for having the best family friendly restaurant in town. On a side note, we’ve also fixed our voting mechanism, meaning people can no longer manipulate the system.
To vote, simply login to your Patch account and select the business that you think has the best product. That’s it. Voting ends Aug. 17, at 5:00 p.m.
Patch readers nominated all the following businesses and the nomination period is now closed. It’s time to pick a winner, folks.

Kappy's is my vote. Kappys has been part of my wife and I familes since they opened. Both of our parents, aunts and uncles dined here every week and now we have taken their place. This has been going on 25 years. We view Kappy's as not only a great place to have a great meal but we think of everybody there as part of our family. Gus and George have made it a very special place.
