Return of the Pizza Wars!
A dozen local pizza shops will raise money for charity during the second annual Pizza Wars on Jan. 19.

In an epic battle of cheesiness, local pizzerias will face off in the second annual “Pizza Wars” at Niles West High School on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the cafeteria in Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton St. Last year, Pequod's Pizza took home the honors of being crowned "Best Pizza." To see last year's coverage of the event, click here.
The charitable event will be hosted by the District 219 Education Foundation for Excellence. The Education Foundation provides a variety of support and outreach to local students. Last month, Skokie Patch covered the story Hungry Students Working More, Studying Less, where the Education Foundation was cited as providing food to students who didn't have enough money to eat.

I'm very surprised to see that Nano's in Morton Grove was left off the list this year along with Giordano's? Maybe next year as these are surely worthy of competition.
