Skokie Business Owner Charged with Tax Evasion

Peter Troost, owner of Troost Memorials, has been charged with stashing money in a secret offshore account.

 

 

Federal prosecutors have charged Peter Troost, 78, owner of Troost Memorials, with tax evasion for stashing money in a secret offshore account, www.WTHITV.com reported. 

Troost is alleged to owe more than $212,000 in federal income tax in 2007 and could face five years in prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted, www.WTHITV.com reported. 

Troost Memorials has been providing grave markers and other memorials to funeral homes in five states for more than 120 years.

Maybe he could be incarcerated in a nice "off-shore prison"? Close to his money. That would be a splendid retirement in a warm clime.
