Thursday Blotter: BB Guns and Beer Bottles

Local ordinance violation

A Skokie man was issued a local ordinance citation after police saw him shooting beer bottles with his BB gun. No damage was caused to nearby residents.

Graffiti

Police located some graffiti during a routine check at Winnebago Park on June 3.

DUI

Michael Kinney, 57, of the 400 block of San Rafael in California, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on May 31. Kinney was stopped for a traffic violation in the 8200 block of Skokie Boulevard. He allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .112.

Stolen plates

A man reported his license plates stolen on June 6. He told police he last parked his vehicle in the 8600 block of Gross Point Road.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 3300 block of Emerson Street was reported burglarized on June 6. According to the report, about $3 in loose change was stolen from the vehicle.

A car parked outside Emily Oaks Nature Center was reported burglarized on June 5. According to the report, a cell phone valued at around $150 was missing.
