Thursday Blotter: Burglaries, Vandalism

A woman reported her wallet, several credit cards and an iPhone stolen after visiting a nail salon in the 3300 block of Dempster Street on Sept. 12.
Rock and a hard place
A man reported that an unknown person threw a rock through his bedroom window in the 8800 block of Lamon Avenue on Sept. 7.
Stolen iPhone, wallet
A woman reported that an unknown person took her Apple iPhone and purse while visiting Chuck E. Cheese in Village Crossing on Sept. 8.
Police responded to a garage burglary in the 8500 block of McCormick Boulevard on Sept. 9. According to the report, a bicycle and loose change was stolen from the unit.
About $600, several credit cards and a social security card were removed from a vehicle parked in the 3700 block of Enfield Avenue on Sept. 9.
Police responded to a burglary in the 90 block of Williamsburg on Sept. 10. According to the report, a cell phone, purse and about $240 was missing from the home. Police believe the suspect(s) reached through an open window and removed the items.
Luis Gerardo Valerio, 34, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 10. Valerio was stopped in the 7200 block of McCormick Boulevard due to swerving, the report stated. He allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .160, police said. His court date is Oct. 5.
