Thursday Blotter: Burglary, Bar Fight

Stolen phone

A man shopping at Old Orchard Mall reported his cell phone stolen on Aug. 25.

$10K worth of jewelry stolen in burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 3400 block of Main Street on Aug. 25. According to the report, about $10,000 worth of jewelry was removed from a bedroom inside the home. No other items were reported stolen.

Graffiti

Police responded to a graffiti complaint in the 8600 block of Skokie Boulevard on Aug. 25. According to the report, the letters, “CNG” were written on a wall with black spray paint.

Bar fight

A man was assaulted after saying hi to his friend at Duffy’s Bar in the 8000 block of Lincoln Avenue on Aug. 25. According to the report, the man said hello to his friend but was punched in the face and knocked down. He told police he is unsure why his friend attacked him. No arrests were made.

Grand theft auto

A car parked in the 10000 block of Frontage Road was reported burglarized on Aug. 26.
