Thursday Blotter: Precious Metals Stolen

Precious parts stolen

Two catalytic converters were stolen from two vans parked in the 8000 block of Lawndale Avenue on Nov. 17. The car part contains precious metals that can be sold for several hundred dollars.

Another van parked in the 8000 block of Lawndale Avenue had its catalytic convertor stolen on Nov. 19

Stolen laptop

A man reported that his laptop was stolen from his basement in the 8100 block of Lincoln Avenue on Nov. 19.

Smashed out

An unknown person(s) used a blunt object – possibly a hammer – to smash out all windows of a vehicle parked in the 5000 block of Mulford Avenue on Nov. 19, police said. No arrests were made.
