Thursday Blotter: Stolen Auto Recovered

Police recover stolen auto
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle parked outside the Skokie Swift Station on Jan. 11. The vehicle was reported stolen from an Old Orchard Mall parking lot on New Year's Eve.
Jakub Kuklo, 20, of Des Plaines, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and eluding police and driving with a revoked license on Jan. 11. His court date is Jan. 16.
Missing cell phone
A man reported his cell phone missing after visiting a bank in the 5200 block of Dempster Street on Jan. 11.
Vehicle break ins foiled
Officers charged four teens with violation of curfew in the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue on Jan. 11 around 1:40 a.m. A resident called police about four people attempting to gain entry into cars parked outside the Skokie Swift parking lot, police said.
When officers caught up with the teens, it was determined that several of them had consumed alcohol, according to the report. The youths would later be released to their parents that same day.
Jonathan Barques, 18, of Skokie, was charged with possession of marijuana on Jan. 12. Officers made the arrest after responding to a call reporting that several people were “doing drugs” inside a car parked in the 3800 block of Brummel Street, police said.
A total of 9 grams of marijuana was found inside the vehicle as well as drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
A woman reported that her driver's side window was busted as her car sat parked in the 10000 block of Frontage Road on Jan. 12.
