Join the board, staff, and friends of The Talking Farm for an Open House celebrating a successful year of developing the Howard Street Farm. During this year’s growing season, we’ve installed a 10,000 sq. ft. Ethnic Heritage Demonstration Garden with plants that showcase our community’s ethnic diversity, built a hoop house for three-season food production, and established a native prairie plant garden. It's a "site" to be seen!
Highlights of the 2012 Hullabaloo include live music, family-friendly crafts and activities, marshmallow roasting, demonstration of an oil press, an observation honeybee hive, an “Ask the Dietitian” booth, light refreshments, and more! All ages are welcome. If possible, please R.S.V.P. at http://ttfhullabaloo.eventbrite.com/

The Howard Street Farm is a venture of The Talking Farm. In partnership with the Skokie Park District, The Talking Farm is developing this two-acre site near the Skokie-Evanston border as an educational urban farm. The Howard Street Farm is growing produce using sustainable methods; will offer classes in growing, preserving, and enjoying local foods; and will conduct research relevant to urban agriculture.
To celebrate our first year of gardening and growing at one of the North Shore’s leading urban farms. The Talking Farm is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the cultivation of healthy, sustainable communities by supporting the production and appreciation of locally grown food.
