Tuesday Blotter: Drug Bust at Lee Wright Park

Alleged dealer busted at park
Patrick Evans Pierre, 21, of the 8900 block of Niles Center Road, was charged with one felony count of possession of cannabis with intent to deliver on July 3. Police received a complaint that someone was selling marijuana at Lee Wright Park.
When police arrived they saw Pierre at the park matching the description given by the complainant. Police allegedly found 12 grams of marijuana that was individually bagged into 13 smaller bags in Pierre’s possession.

The word “DETZ” was written with black spray paint on a white sign that read “Keep Illinois Clean” on July 9.
Makeshift ladder used in home burglary
Police responded to a residential burglary in the 8900 block of Forestview on July 5. According to the report, a makeshift ladder was used to gain access through an open second floor window. Once inside, the culprit(s) took two Apple MacBook laptops and a shoulder bag.
Theft from auto
A car parked outside Weber Center, 5100 Weber Park Place, was reported burglarized on July 6. Among the items missing included a laptop computer, gym bag and a wallet.
Graffiti
Police were dispatched to the Skokie Swift train station, 5005 Dempster St., regarding a criminal damage to property complaint on July 9. According to the report, a black marker was used to write the word “FEAR” and wan anarchy symbol on a crossing sign.
