Inside job at Nordstrom
Police responded to an internal theft at Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall on Dec. 31. According to the report, Eliezer A. Gomez, 29, of the 7400 block of Oakley Avenue in Chicago, was charged with allegedly making fraudulent returns to his friends while working the registers. Gomez allegedly put about $1,000 of returns that never existed on an unknown man’s credit card. His court date is Feb. 28.
Speeding, DUI
Kejuan K. Little, 22, 8600 block of Trumbull Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Dec. 23 around 3 a.m. According to the report, Little was allegedly speeding 92 mph heading south on McCormick Boulevard near Golf Road. He told police he thought he was travelling only 35 mph, according to the report. Police also found an open beer bottle inside the suspect’s car, the report said. Little had a blood alcohol content level was .121.
Assault
Police responded to an assault at Orchard Village Group Home in the 9200 block of Lavergne Avenue on Jan. 2. According to the report, a resident became upset at an employee when she asked him to take his medication. He then began chasing her around the facility stating he was going to kill her, the report said. The suspect was transported to Skokie Hospital for evaluation. No charges were filed.
Stolen computer
A computer was reported stolen from a business in the 8200 block of Lowell Avenue on Dec. 31. According to the report, multiple business associates had access to where the computer was stored. No charges were filed.
