Tuesday Blotter: Man Battered At Park

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

 

DUI

Candice La Jeune Belcher, 23, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 16. Belcher was stopped near the intersection of Golf Road and Skokie Boulevard for speeding, the report stated. She allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .165, the report said. Her court date is Nov. 1.

Armando Bautista, 32, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 16. According to the report, Bautista was stopped near the intersection of Oakton Street and Lamon Avenue. Bautista allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .213, the report said. His court date is Sept. 25.

Battery at park

Police responded to a strong-armed robbery at Shawnee Park, 3730 Lee St., on Sept. 16 around 10:30 p.m. According to the report, a 22-year-old man was punched in the face five to six times. He was also kicked in the head, the report added. The offenders would take the victim’s Bears hat and $70 cash, the report said. No arrests were made.

Car burglary

About $600, several credit cards and a social security card were removed from a vehicle parked in the 3700 block of Enfield Avenue on Sept. 9.

Home burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 90 block of Williamsburg on Sept. 10. According to the report, a cell phone, purse and about $240 was missing from the home. Police believe the suspect(s) reached through an open window and removed the items.
