Tuesday Blotter: Work Related Battery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

 

Theft at Macy’s

Barbara Jaskot, 60, of the 5300 block of Winsdor Avenue in Chicago, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried stealing a pair of True Religion jeans from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall on June 18. The value of the jeans was around $150, the report said.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 4900 block of Conrad Street was reported vandalized on June 20. According to the report, a blunt object was used to smash out the rear window.

Alleged neighborly theft

Police responded to a theft in the 4900 block of Hull Street on June 16. According to the report, a man said he believes his neighbor stole his appliances while he was out of the country. The combined value of said items was around $630, the report said. No charges were filed.

Lock theft

A locker was reported burglarized at Life Time Fitness, 5300 Old Orchard Road, on June 19. The victim told police he was missing $300, several credit cards and his ID, the report said. The man also told police that his locker was locked prior to the theft.

Work related battery

Police responded to a battery complaint at the Illinois Science and Technology Park on June 19. According to the report, a manager allegedly got shoved by one of her subordinates after she requested she clean her area. No charges were filed, but the alleged attacker was told to go home for the day.  

Harassing messages

A woman told police that she was receiving harassing text messages from her former lover on June 18.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 8000 block of Central Park was reported vandalized on June 10. According to the report, an unknown person scratched the side of the car with a sharp object.
