Walgreens CFO To Lose License After Second DUI Arrest

Repeat offense triggers 3-year penalty for Winnetka resident

Walgreen Co. chief financial officer and Winnetka resident Wade Miquelon faces a court hearing Friday after being charged with a second DUI only 13 months after his first arrest.

Miquelon will lose his driver's license for three years because this is his second offense and he refused a Breathalyzer test on Sept. 25 when he was pulled over by the Kenilworth police, according to secretary of state spokesman Dave Druker.

"This was a second incident in his driving situation; he had an incident in September 2009 where he did get court supervision," Druker said. "You're only allowed one court supervision on DUI in your lifetime."

According to the Kenilworth report, Miquelon was pulled over for a traffic violation around 10 p.m. on Sept. 25 in the 200 block of Sheridan Road in Kenilworth. Miquelon was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Miquelon is due to appear in the 2nd District Court in Skokie at 5600 Old Orchard Rd. at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
