Nordstrom theft

Kristen Elwes, 32, of Skokie, was charged with retail theft on Nov. 24 Elwes attempted to steal a pair of gloves and hat from Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall, police said. Her court date is Jan. 7.

DUI

Burt Antonio Strickland, 20, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Nov. 24. Strickland was stopped near Oakton and Lincoln for a traffic violation. His blood alcohol content level was .158, the report stated.

Macy’s theft

Romi Gally, 18, of Holland, Ill., was charged with retail theft on Nov. 23. Gally attempted to steal a jacket and a Hello Kitty purse from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall, according to the report.

Delivery driver robbed at gunpoint

A delivery boy was robbed of his Apple iPhone 4 after two teens ambushed him in the 9000 block of Lamon Avenue.

According to the report, the victim approached a home in the 9000 block of Lamon Avenue that he was supposed to deliver food to, but was attacked by two black males, the report stated.

One subject pulled out a black handgun and placed it on the ground before pulling the trigger, the report said. However, the gun only expelled compressed air, the report said. The two subjects then went on to attack the victim and take his phone.

The driver sustained a red mark above his left eye.

The suspects were described as two black males, both around 18-years-of age, one with a slim builds and light completion the other was a darker skin completion, police said.

No arrests were made.
