Wednesday Blotter: Doobie And a Movie

Christopher McDaniel, 29, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 16. According to the report, McDaniel was stopped in the 9400 block of McCormick Boulevard for a traffic violation. The driver allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .248, according to the report.
Police responded to the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road regarding a criminal damage complaint on Aug. 20. According to the report, several skateboarders were performing tricks outside a condo complex. There were no arrests, but the property manager of the building told police he wanted the incident documented.
Stolen AC unit
Police responded to a theft in the 4800 block of Louise Avenue on Aug. 22. According to the report, a $1,400 air conditioning unit was reported stolen from outside the home.
Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue on Aug. 21. According to the report, several wires connected to an exterior lighting display were cut. The damage was estimated to be about $50, police said.
A car parked in the 4700 block of Old Orchard Road was reported burglarized on Aug. 22. According to the report, a third party stereo valued at around $150 was stolen.
A Skokie man was charged with criminal trespass after entering Walgreen’s, 9150 Skokie Blvd., on Aug. 22. According to the report, the alleged suspect was told that he was not allowed at the store due to a prior incident. His court date is Sept. 12.
A doobie and a movie
Police responded to the 7700 block of Park Avenue regarding a caller complaint on Aug. 22. According to the report, a woman found the DVD movie, Mafia: Coming to America, with marijuana inside the case. The woman told police she was concerned that a child might have found the case. Police confiscated the material and no charges were filed.
