I believe we need to refurbish and renew all of the old orchards. They've fallen into disrepair, their apples and peaches aren't as tasty as they once were, and the randy youths who wander them looking for love are now carrying skewers and shivs.
If I could sit this wayward young man down, I would tell him that his "pickup line" was not altogether unacceptable. Why, back when I was a courting Casanova, I could have turned such an advance into a fleeting kiss 9 times out of 10. But to bring swordplay into the mix? That is altogether criminal, both figuratively and literally.
Not to mention the report states he was wearing a scarf. Seeing a fellow clad in such dainty garb, perhaps the young lass mistook him for a pantywaist or a milksop! Unless it's to an airman or an Arctic explorer, there should be no haberdashery willing to pedal such ladylike accessories to a gentleman.
