D219 students and their parents are invited to attend a presentation on Advanced Placement (AP) classes to discover how AP is possible for any student, and to learn why all students are encouraged to take at least one AP class in high school. Students and parents who participate in the event will learn more about the college admissions process, meet with AP teachers, find out about specific AP course requirements and expectations, chat with students who are currently enrolled in AP classes, and explore an AP Fair. Hear insight from representatives from the College Board, The University of Chicago and Michigan State University.

More About Niles North High School
A public four-year high school and part of District 219, Niles North High School is the future home for students from McCracken Middle School, Old Orchard Junior High, East Prairie and Golf Middle School.
Located across the street from Old Orchard Mall and east of the Edens Expressway, Niles North High School opened its doors in 1964. In 2008, the school received an award for having the "#1 Fine Arts Program in the United States."
Known as the "Vikings," the school has a variety of interscholastic athletic programs that include basketball, cross country, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, cheerleading and softball. Some notable graduates include Erin Heatherton, a Victora Secret's fashion model, Brent Novoselsky, who played tight end for the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings and Mike Krasny, founder of CDW.
