The college search and application process can be very confusing. District 219 sophomores and their parents are invited to start the journey at Sophomore College Night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 26 in the Auditorium at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton, Skokie. This free informational session will cover the following topics: college selection process, high school course requirements for college, and admissions criteria. The speaker is Heather Chase Boggs, Admissions Representative from Miami University of Ohio. Also present to answer questions will be College and Career Counselors Dan Gin (Niles West) and Tiffany Stallone (Niles North) and National College Adviser Jerry Pope. Located in the same building as Niles West High School, the Niles Township High Schools District 219 handles a variety of administrative work related to the day-to-day operations of the district.
