There will be a mult-facuted event on Sunday, June 24th in celebration of the Oakton Street Yellow line stop Grand Opening.
IMODS will host a Cash Mob at Aw Yeah Comics at 4933 Oakton St. at 11am to Noon - Cash Mobs are a "shop local" program designed to drive business to a local shop keeper in a Mob fashion to increase sales and in this case, introduce a new merchant to our community.
From Noon to 2pm IMODS and Crafty Beaver will be giving away free hot dogs and hamburgers for a donation of a non-perishable food item or $1 - in the East lot of Crafty Beaver. This event is to benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry.
Directly after the Food Pantry event the Village of Skokie takes over for a Sculpture dedication with free ice cream provided by Oberweis (while supplies last, first come, first served). There will be well wishes by local dignitaries and a host of other fun things to do. There will be a bicycle parade for the kids on the new Skokie Valley Trail with prizes given out to the kids.
Don't miss this opportunity to meet and great your friends and neighbors for a fun filled afternoon in downtown Skokie.
EAT - PLAY - SHOP - ENJOY - DOWNTOWN SKOKIE!!!
