DESCRIPTION:Do you find yourself telling the same stories over and over? 
 Are you looking for a way to organize your life experiences into a cohes
 ive story? Do you have a story to tell but don&rsquo\;t know where to st
 art?\nThis two-part workshop offers a practical approach to help writers
  identify the major turning points in their lives and shape them into a 
 fully realized story. Using Joseph Campbell&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;The Hero&rs
 quo\;s Journey&rdquo\; as a guide\, the class will give students a struc
 ture for their story\, a voice and perspective to tell it\, and writing 
 prompts to jumpstart the writing process. The workshop is a combination 
 of lecture\, discussion and in-class writing. We also will have an oppor
 tunity to share our stories&mdash\;or pieces of our stories&mdash\; with
  the class.
