- Skokie's annual extravaganza, Backlot Bash, opens at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday. Check here for the schedule.
- If you need to get to Skokie's village hall, it will be open the usual hours of
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Just know that Oakton Street will be closed off after 10 a.m., so you may have to walk a bit. - The weather forecast for this weekend's Backlot Bash: Low 80s and sunny. Perfect. Keep those fingers crossed that the weatherman's not pulling a fast one on us!
- FYI for Sunday: The Skokie Farmer's Market continues as usual, and becomes part of Backlot Bash.
