Hear Old Time Radio Skits; Some Suspenseful, Some Funny

  • The threat of West Nile virus persists in Skokie. Recently a dead bird that was found tested positive for the disease. Health officials recommend staying indoors at dawn and dusk, wearing long-sleeved clothing and spraying an insect repellent on your clothing and, sparingly, on your skin.
  • Did you know monsters hide in your closet at night? That's part of the premise of the movie Monsters, Inc. which will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Skokie Library. Don't be surprised if you start giggling right along with your kids at this clever film.
  • Whether you remember Old Time Radio or missed the era but still like it, the Old Time Radio Players are performing  at 1:30 p.m. There might be a little "Shadow" and a little Jack Benny, and who knows what else.
