- How brave are you? Fear City, ranked one of the top haunted houses in the Chicago region, holds an open house for the Skokie and Morton Grove Chambers of Commerce Thursday, then opens to the public Friday. It's in Morton Grove.
- Looking ahead: Niles North High School plays Maine East in football Friday at 7:30 at Maine East in Park Ridge. Just go west on Dempster; it's right past the hospital.
- Looking ahead: Niles West High School plays Waukegan at Waukegan Saturday Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. Sorry we can't help you with directions on that one.
