Antunovich Associates named as ‘Architect of Record’ for New Lincolnwood Development

North Capital Group and Urban Retail chose firm with leading mixed-use experience to design Lincoln-Touhy site

LINCOLNWOOD, IL, August 15, 2013—North Capital Group and its joint-venture partner, Urban Retail Properties, today announced the choice of Chicago-based Antunovich Associates as the architect of record for the Lincoln-Touhy site development.

“Antunovich’s award-winning, mixed-use architectural experience is unmatched in the Chicago-area and their expertise takes us another step closer to completing the picture we have painted for the Village of Lincolnwood,” said Neal Stein, Project Lead and Principal with North Capital Group. “Known for their bold, upscale and sustainable designs, Antunovich will be instrumental in developing the look and feel of the site. The mixed-use Lincoln Touhy development site will include restaurants, retail establishments, and office space. Plans also call for a limited-service hotel to anchor the development. Among one of the most desirable locations on the North Shore and in the greater Chicago area, the aged, 8.5-acre site is home to the iconic yet vacant Purple Hotel. Early plans for the new development includes park space in the center of the site for public events such as music fests and art fairs.
