Budget and New Downtown Development on Board Agenda

Do you know what the Village is doing? On Monday June 17 at 8pm the Village of Skokie Board of Trustees will have one of its "standard" board meetings - but there are several items on the agenda that don't come up just every month: Budget - the Board will be asked to approve the budget for the upcoming year. Included will be a general budget increase of 2.7%, money for a new COPS police vehicle, etc. New Development Downtown - the Village board members are also going to be asked to enter into an agreement with StreetScape Development for a new housing development to be built on properties owned by the Village of Skokie on Floral between Brown and Cleveland.
