Carolyn Anthony, MLS '74, Director of the Skokie Public Library, receives Alumni Award from the University of Rhode Island

The University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.  In recognition of this milestone, the URI College of Arts and Sciences and the Harrington School of Communication and Media are pleased to honor select alumni as recipients of the graduate school's "50 for 50" Alumni Award for their service to the profession. They were honored at a gala celebration held in
November.

Among the recipients is GSLIS graduate Carolyn Anthony, MLS '74, who is Director, Skokie Public Library.  She is a past Distinguished GSLIS Alumna of the Year and newly elected President of the Public Library Association for 2013-2014.
