Skokie Community Fund Seeks Collaborative Proposals for Its 2014/15 Grant Cycle
The Skokie Community Fund (the Fund) is seeking collaborative proposals for capacity-building and program grants for its 2014/15 grant cycle. The proposal application form is available on the Fund website: www.skokiecommunityfund.org.
Proposals will be accepted through midnight on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
To qualify, two organizations must co-apply to either provide services to Skokie residents or build capacity for greater service to Skokie residents. One of the two co-applicants must be a 501(c)3 organization, a school, or a government entity. The maximum grant amount awarded will be $5,000. The Fund intends to award $25,000 during this inaugural grant cycle.

The Fund requests proposals addressing any aspect of community including arts and culture, basic human needs, community development, early childhood education/early learning, education, environment, family support/counseling, health, housing, seniors, workforce development, or youth.
Grants will be awarded in October 2014 for use in the 2015 calendar year.

About the Skokie Community Fund
The Skokie Community Fund (www.skokiecommunityfund.org) was established in 2010 by a small group of Skokie residents to foster a supportive, engaged, and dynamic community in Skokie through meaningful giving, collaboration, and community programming. The Fund has engaged the following steering committee members to guide its initial outreach efforts in the community: Carol Dammrich, Maria Franks, Gene Griffin, Kevin Mott, and Jim Szczepaniak.
The Fund is a proud affiliate of the Evanston Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that is in compliance with national standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
