SWANCC Offers One-day Combination Electronic Recycling and Document Destruction Events

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) provides easy and convenient electronic recycling and document destruction options during the summer months.    Events are for residents living in a SWANCC member community.  Identification will be checked for proof of residency.  One-day collection locations and dates are:

Typical documents that can be shredded include medical records, bank statements, personal files, retired tax forms, etc. Staples and paper clips are acceptable, but binders should be removed. Residents will be limited to six file-sized boxes or paper shopping bags per vehicle. Please do not bring paper in plastic bags.

 

Only the following electronics will be accepted: Computers, DVD Players, DVR/Cable Boxes, Fax Machines, Mobile Phones, Monitors, MP3 Players, PDAs, Peripherals (mice, keyboards, zip drives), Printers, Scanners, Televisions, VHS Players and Video Game Consoles.  For more information on recycling or for permanent drop-off locations, please visit www.swancc.org or call 847/724-9205.
