The Women's Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem Skokie Hospital Donates $12,000 for Cardiovascular Health

With heart disease being the leading cause of death in the United States, The Women’s Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Skokie Hospital focused its fundraising efforts to support cardiovascular care at Skokie Hospital. Since launching this new fundraising initiative, The Women’s Board has raised more than $12,000 for NorthShore Skokie Hospital’s Cardiology Department. A majority of the funds raised are based on collaborations with community partners, including Bloomingdales and The Macy’s Foundation, and from the organization’s annual Holiday Boutique, which will take place on Wednesday, November 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Oakton Community College in Skokie. 

“We are honored to band together as a Board and as a community to raise funds for world-class cardiovascular care close to home,” says Aline Sarrafian, president of The Women’s Board of NorthShore Skokie Hospital. “The momentum we’ve created thus far continues to motivate us to support this worthy cause.”

The Women's Board of NorthShore Skokie Hospital’s support will provide state-of-the art cardiac care enhancements, which will assist patients through treatment and rehabilitation of complex heart conditions at NorthShore Skokie Hospital. The Board’s philanthropic efforts will directly impact the patients as well as NorthShore's world-class cardiovascular care specialists who improve the lives of thousands of patients annually through personalized treatment programs.
