"Every day, someone you love or someone you work with or someone you know struggles with a mental illness and we want to honor both those working to improve their own lives as well as those advocating for quality mental health care access for all."

The Benefit begins with an hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer reception and silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the presentation to honor Schakowsky, Lytle and Julie and Paul Rooney. In addition to the presentations, "Celebrating Stories of Recovery" Benefit features a unique video booth, "One-Minute Tips for Mental Health", where attendees can offer their personal ideas of how to stay happy, healthy and resilient.
