Charity Group Needs Donations For Local Families

The Skokie Community Fund is looking to raise $55,000 to help those less fortunate in the Skokie area this holiday season.

The Skokie Community Fund  (SCF) is looking to match donations in an effort to help those less fortunate in the Skokie area this holiday season.

Established in 2010, SCF is hoping donations can reach $35,000, to which they will match all subsequent donations dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000, the group said in a press release. The group's goal is to raise $55,000.

"We are honored to work together with the community to provide this assistance again in 2012," said Executive Director Kristin Winter. "We look forward to many more community collaborations as the fund begins its work in Skokie."
