Coyote Carries Off Small Dog in Glenview

Pebbles was outside with her sister when they encountered two coyotes and hasn't been seen since.

Neighbors in the area of Roosevelt Avenue and Pinehurst Drive woke Monday morning to a woman frantically screaming after a coyote ran off with her family’s small dog, CBS Chicago is reporting. The incident happened around 6:15 a.m.

Pebbles, a 4-year-old, four-pound Yorkie, hasn’t been found, the station says. Pebble’s sister, Paxil, was unharmed.

The owner, who did not want to be identified by name when speaking with ABC7, said he hopes other dog owners take heed and don’t let their pets out without a leash.
