To honor Martin Luther King Jr. day, we've linked his 'I Have a Dream Speech.'. We've also posted important closings in the Skokie and Chicagoland area.

Originally a clergyman, Martin Luther King Jr. was best known for his leadership with the African-American Civil Rights movement during the 60s.

One of King’s most memorable moments came when he delivered his I Have a Dream speech on Aug. 28, 1963. The speech lasted more than 17 minutes, but will be remembered for eternity. In honor of Martin Luther King day, we have linked his entire speech in full below.

We’ve also posted important closing for Skokie and the Chicagoland area.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity."
