Skokie Is Patching Potholes After Freeze-Thaw Cycle
Main Street was hit hard; also, different governments are in charge of different roadways. Tell us: where are the potholes bad?

Extreme weather this winter has riddled roads with potholes, leaving drivers around Chicagoland with tire calamities.
Many of Skokie's streets are fine, but a reader emailed Patch to say Main Street between McCormick Boulevard and Crawford Avenue is a problem area for potholes.
Two crews are out patching them in this area and other areas of the community Monday, according to Ann Tennes, Skokie's director of marketing and communications.
"The Village has been awarded state funds to resurface this stretch of Main Street, and we await information on when the state will release the funds so that the work can begin," she wrote to Patch.com.
"The Village is hopeful that this will occur during 2014, and as such, we have budgeted for the local portion of the project funds."
Another thing to keep in mind, Tennes said, is that other government bodies--such as the county or state--are responsible for certain roads in Skokie, such as Touhy Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, sections of Gross Point Road, Golf Road, Old Orchard Road and Crawford Avenue. It's up to those governments to maintain those roads.
